3.00 units Tony Stewart (-105) over Carl Edwards (@bodog)
Of the JGR teams Stewart is the one being overlooked tonight. Hamlin is the favorite but the 20 is Top 5 material, maybe better with some racing luck. Smoke has an average finish of 7th over the last six races here with two second place finishes.
On the other hand, Edwards has an average finish of 23rd at Richmond over that same time span and has yet to place ahead of Stewart.
3.00 units Travis Kvapil (-120) over Michael Waltrip (@5dimes)
Kvapil won a big play for me last week as he came home 6th at Talladega.
Not sure about another Top 10 tonight but think there is enough there to beat Waltrip. The two Yates teams seem to be improving as the season goes on as David Gilliland has recorded three straight Top 15's and Kvapil has already scored a couple of Top 8 finishes this season.
3.00 David Gilliland (-135) over Robby Gordon (@5dimes)
Speak of the devil. Like I said three straight Top 15's as well as a 9th at Bristol in the past five races. These guys are starting to look pretty good.
Gordon has only one finish better than 24th in a non-restrictor plate event this year.
2.00 units Denny Hamlin (-140) over Jimmie Johnson (@bodog)
Think Hamlin is the one to beat tonight. 'nuff said.
2.00 units Johnny Sauter (-115) over Joe Nemechek (@thegreek)
What an ugly match-up this is. Simply like Haas Racing over Furniture Row. Only one finish better than 34th this year for Nemechek, though I admit the Haas #70 hasn't done much better with several different drivers
taking turns at the wheel. Feel a little better with Sauter, as this was his ride last year and he is pretty good on the flat ovals.
Props
2.00 units Tony Stewart (+100) (@5dimes)
to finish better than 8.5
Only once in the last six starts at Richmond has he failed to finish in the Top 8.
Good luck to everyone.
